• Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan was established in 1961.

• It’s the premier regulatory body in Pakistan for the development and regulation of profession of accounting and auditing in the country.

• The Institute also plays its role in strengthening the regulatory framework in Pakistan through working in cooperation with important policy making institutions and regulators including the State Bank of Pakistan, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Federal Board of Revenue and other Ministries.

• Today around 10,000 members are recognized and respected globally for their technical expertise and adherence to ethics and integrity, both in Industry and Audit practice.

• Out of this population of 10,000 + members, around 28% members are working Overseas. UAE represent by far the largest overseas presence of Pakistani Chartered Accountants (around 30%).

• The UAE Chapter of ICAP was formed in 2012, working under the aegis of Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD).

• The chapter represents the largest community of ICAP overseas members (more than 800 members), who are well-represented at many prestigious organizations in UAE.

• Our members are working in different sectors in the Emirates and contributing towards the robust growth of their organizations. Being backed by a premier qualification and extensive training experience, our professionals are highly ranked and sought after by reputed entities.

• The new Managing Committee 2018-20 aims at branding CA Pakistan in local market and increasing members’ engagement by regularly organizing events relating to continuing professional development (CPD), networking, conferences and social engagements for benefit of its members.
